Solitude
Solitude is often a romantic and sought after experience. Some people simply enjoy a few days away from crowds and the unceasing pressures of modern life. Others embrace isolation as a way of life. I doubt I am alone in enjoying complete solitude from time to time, and this prompted me to think further about why so many of us feel the need to take a break from the bustle and routine of ‘normal life’. It also begs the question what it would be like to live in complete solitude? I hope that this collection of images may provide a few thoughts and ideas. I believe that a little isolation is good for all our souls but, equally, I know that I would struggle to make it a way of life.
